A'PEXi RSM

Hi,

Was wondering if you guys could shine some light on this, I have a rb25det powered r32 with this the speedo doesn't work, was thinking of getting a A'PEXi RSM but not sure if it'll work, am i right in thinking that it just takes the readings from the gear box sensor? if so it should still work?

If your speedometer doesn't work the speed on the rsm will not work either. The rsm piggy backs the already existing signals which it sound like are not working properly right now.

I see, I think the only reason the speedo doesn't work is because the signal is electrical not mechanical? so I believe that the signal is correct, just that it can't be read by the speedo?

If you're using the RB25 gearbox, this may be the reason. R32 box uses a cable drive, R33 is electric.

yep you need to convert from electrical to cable. best way is to use a navara speedo sensor - here's a write up of when i did it if it helps...
