HEL or Goodridge brake lines?

I see that CRN performance are selling HEL braided brake lines for £55 (R33 GTR), but the Goodridge set is THREE TIMES the price! Is this just a brand awareness thing? I'm told that HEL do a lot of bike stuff and are only now venturing into the four wheeled market but even so that's a biiiig difference...

hi guys, james i see the hose kit has been delivered, i hope you are happy with it. just to add my pennies worth.
At CRN we deal with both goodridge and hel, having spoken to our guy at goodridge and asking him about the massive price difference he told me the reason that goodridge are so much more expensive is because they make their kits exact copies as what is on the car from manufacture whereas hel don't, read into this what you will all i can say is that we have had a few kits in exactly the same, 1 hel and 1 goodridge and there is no difference in it what so ever that i can see.
Hel are a well established name in brake lines and its quality speaks for itself, goodridge are the market leader in the industry and have been around alot longer. to me (and this is only my humble opinion) it seems like hel have come in and vastly undercut the price to try and break goodridges hold over the market, all there kits are priced the same making in easier for buyers and sellers alike. the only problem you may find is lead times will be longer through hel.

If the Goodridge kit is massively different in price its because they have made a 6 line kit, similar to what is on the car...

The HEL kit, like our own Conceptua entry level Braided Brake Line kit, will be a 4 line kit.

We have also developed and spent a lot of money on having the centre blocks machined- so we can also offer the 6 line kit as well... :D
